President of Prosper Investments, Debbie Smith became interested in real estate as a school teacher in Los Angeles, CA. While teaching, it didn't take her long to realize that teaching wasn't the fastest way to get ahead. On a school holiday, she read the book, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" which propelled her into learning more about investing. After scrutinizing the market for the most time tested and reliable ways to invest, she found real estate to be the vehicle that would get her ahead while at the same time allow her to help in the community as she did while teaching. Debbie has her Masters Degree in Human Development as well as her real estate license in California. In 2002, Debbie created Prosper Real Estate Investors Association located in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Also in 2002, Debbie was interviewed by CNN's "Open House" about the Las Vegas market and Prosper Real Estate Investments, which was formed in late September in order to meet other investors and to educate herself on key real estate strategies.
Growing up in England, Jason Jones saw what it was like to see people struggling to make ends meet. This drove him to become a Bank Manager at Abbey National Bank of England and Certified Financial Planner where he quickly was able to see the advantages of real estate investing. In England, Jason bought his first foreclosed property at the age of 19! Since then Jason has moved to the USA and worked for over a year with an asset protection lawyer in Las Vegas. During that time he and his wife Debbie opened their business, Prosper Investments. Jason went on to become a trainer with Robert Allen's "Creating Wealth Through Real Estate", JG Banks' "Real Estate Probate Investing", National Probate Institute, and the Institute for Commercial Real Estate for more than 5 years. He started his investing with no money and no credit, and quickly turned around and bought and sold over 360 properties. He focuses on pre-foreclosure, foreclosure, new construction, and apartment buildings. His greatest satisfaction in life is to see the people he helps invest, retire how and when they want to. Jason speaks frequently at the Prosper Real Estate Investors Association on topics such as short sales and commercial investing.
