Having Jason Jones as my mentor and participating in Prosper, the Las Vegas Investment Group that Jason and his wife, Debbie, formed, has provided me with the confidence and practical know-how to go out on my own and acquire new properties. By the end of 2006, I expect I will have bought and/or sold properties in eight states, usually rolling over the equity and profit through a 1031 Exchange to avoid taxes. There is no fear, no reservation, and no hesitation now when I learn about new investment opportunities and strategies through Jason and his investment club. And though "retired," I'm not finished. I haven't learned so much since graduate school, and I continue to be rewarded in many ways.

I bought the Houston duplex through the Prosper Team. This investment is my first in Real Estate and I am happy to have a good start in my Real Estate Investing.

This duplex has a good cap rate and with both the units rented, it is a positive cash flow investment. This property, near the Houston Medical District area, along with the increased rental demand in Houston created by Hurricane Katrina helps very much with this investment.

The property manager was already put in place and that took the weight off from my shoulders in having to find one. They had referrals readily available for financing needs and provided the referrals for the other areas like inspections and appriasals as well.

The decision to buy this property was definitely made easier of the Prosper Team, specifically Debbie, Jason and Sarah. Jason and Debbie run the investment club meetings in Los Angeles and Jason's knowledge and experience in the RE Investment Arena is huge and any questions in this regard, Jason was ready to help.

This Prosper team was very approachable and helpful and provided alternatives when required and I am quite pleased with their help in successfully closing my first Real Estate Investment transaction.
